We spend so much time measuring what young people do wrong that we risk overlooking everything they are capable of achieving. Young people are not simply the future of our society — they are already shaping it. We would do well not to forget that.

Someone at school used a normal Instagram photo of a girl and used AI to make it look like she was naked.
Everyone knew it was fake, but people still shared it.
They said, “It’s only AI.”
But when something that looks like your body is being passed around, it doesn’t feel fake to you.

Some fathers need to be honest too. Boys watch how we speak to women, how we handle anger, how we talk about ex-partners and whether we apologise when we are wrong. We have to be better role models. My son has jobs to do at home — washing the pots, sorting clothes, coming shopping with me. Respect starts with discipline.

AI & Deepfakes

I get why people are worried about AI, but most of us are not using it to hurt anyone.
We use it for college work, ideas, editing and messing around.
The problem is not AI itself.
It is what someone decides to do with it.

The answer is not just punishment. Schools need earlier conversations about rejection, jealousy, shame, respect and emotional control. Boys need safe adults who can challenge them without humiliating them, and girls need to know that control, pressure and fear are not normal parts of a relationship.
