Our Story
Kulturalism is a UK social enterprise working across the full spectrum of the justice system — victims, offenders, communities, courts and prisons.
We exist to change the culture around crime, safety and prison — one step at a time.
Safer streets begin with the culture we create. That’s why we build practical, plain-English resources, campaigns and public-interest reports that help people understand the system, challenge harmful norms, and take real action.
The gaps we saw
For too long, complex justice issues have been left in reports that few people read or in systems that feel impossible to navigate. People living with the reality of crime, prison and community safety needed something clearer, more useful, and grounded in
everyday life.
Kulturalism was built as a practical response to those gaps.
Meet the Founder
Amanda Haley
Founder of Kulturalism
Amanda founded Kulturalism after more than 17 years’ experience in criminology, working in courts, crisis centres and with disadvantaged communities. She built the organisation from the ground up as a direct response to the gaps she saw every day. Her focus has always been usefulness over polish — creating clear resources that help people navigate the system and stay safer.

Not just words, but actions
Our work is for anyone affected by crime, safety or justice — victims and survivors, women, men, young people, families, professionals, people with lived experience of prison, and those working across the justice system.Because safer communities are built when everyone has access to understanding, support and a chance to be heard.
