Probation and recall decisions can have a major impact on people trying to rebuild their lives after prison. Recall is sometimes necessary for public protection, but concerns are often raised about fairness, proportionality, communication and the pressure placed on people living under licence.
This issue affects people on licence, families, children, employers, victims, probation staff and wider communities. Kulturalism® believes public protection must be balanced with proper support, clear decision-making and fair review.
