What Does a Normal Day Look Like?

Your day follows the prison's regime — unlock, work or education, meals, association, then back behind your door. How much time you spend out of the cell varies between prisons and depends on staffing. What helps: get yourself a job or an education place, because that's what earns you more time unlocked and a purpose to the day; men who build a routine early settle fastest. The hard truth: the regime isn't always predictable, and short staffing or a lock-down can cut your time out with little notice. It isn't personal, and it passes — the men who do well treat the time as still theirs to use.
